Some Portraits

As a painter I am always searching the best way to express the many views of the Hudson Valley as well as the figure and face. Being a represented artist with the Wallkill River School and Gallery, the Lower Hudson Valley Plein aire group and the Artist in the Park group. My impressionistic approach to a painting is never defined till I take that step back and look at the painting for the first time.That first glance really tells me how I should use my color, my brushwork and how the light should be projected in the painting. I  can't say I'm a "figurative ,a still life painter or a landscape painter. My goal is to simply to paint what I see,which is right in front of my eyes. I try to represent what I see at that very moment.
